I began my creative life with a passion for storytelling through drawing, which ultimately led me to earn my BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. A supportive professor there introduced me to the art of photography — igniting a love that has shaped my career. For over 20 years I served as a Photo Editor in New York City where I collaborated with esteemed photographers for Condé Nast and Time, Inc. titles, among others. Today, I reside on the picturesque shoreline of Connecticut with my family and beloved rescue hound, June.
My enthusiasm for visual storytelling has not diminished and I now use film photography to document the human experience through portrait. I prefer to use film because its tactile qualities add a richness and depth to the images that I find inspiring and its more analog nature allows for the evidence of humanity.
You’ll find that both my general nature and process for taking pictures is fairly casual and that the resulting imagery is more natural and documentary in style.
I am available for:
All kinds of portraits, including: family, newborn, and senior, band portraits, and headshots.
and Events, including: parties, family gatherings, weddings, elopements, engagements, proposals, etc.
I am comfortable with and enthusiastic about all ages, identities, body types, family types, and dis/abilities. If you’d like to include an animal friend in any of your images, I’m more than enthusiastic about that as well. I am available to take pictures in and around the CT Shoreline and New Haven-area (also ask me about Rhode Island, New York, and Massachusetts).
